Banking services chronicle releases the
magazine every month for the candidates who are preparing for bank
examinations. One of the articles which are published in banking serviceschronicle magazine is here which says new motor vehicles act in page number
19 of November 2019.
The
amended provisions of the motor vehicles act, which hike the penalty for
traffic rules violations, have come into force. As many as 63 clauses of the
act, which corresponded to an increase in the fine for traffic rule violation.
Came into force midnight on 1 sep. the fine for jumping signal red light has
revised from rupees 1,000 to rupees 5,000 now. Driving without wearing seat
belt, which earliar invited a fine of rupees 100, will now attract a fine of
rupees 1,000.
And
if caught for drunken driving, one needs to cough up a hefty fine of rupees
10,000. The fine for driving without licence is now rupees 5,000, while driving
without a copy of insurance will invite a fine of rupees2,000. Heavier penalty
will also be levied on those driving beyond the permissible speed limit.
